Yeah, when I saw it I just assumed that it was a joke that everyone was in on that took place in the comments somewhere, but only mods can change that and I’m surprised one found that funny enough to make without permission...?

If you know who you’re messing with well enough, yeah go ahead. But if you know for a fact that those particular people might not take it as a joke, then yeah it’s likely to go sour real fast. I’d be pissed also if somebody did that to me.

Yeah, I mean the reason I assumed it was alright is because it seems like any time someone is named in the tag they’re in on it and it’s fun for everyone, so I just assumed “ok, must’ve been a big comment thread where everyone was laughing.” But apparently it’s not the case.
Weird. It'd definitely irritate me a little bit too.

That never really crossed my mind since I didn’t notice until Logansteno made that post, followed by Denver’s. It came off to not be an inside joke, an outside joke or just the result of some sort of conversation on another post. Not cool, not cool at all. I’d say an apology would be in order.

Oh, yeah I saw it about 10 minutes before anyone mentioned it. And yeah, I'd say whoever did it should apologize but maybe it'll just get handled internally between the mods and/or a one-on-one apology instead of a public post.

I was never asked if it could be done, nor did a thread happen that resulted in the “joke.” I’m all for the rainbow banner, today is a HUGE day for a lot of people, friends of mine included. But that was just a touch too far without mine or Denver’s permission.

Agreed. It’s a milestone in the history of this country, but implying consent from you and Denver to change the tagline to something like that is a bit uncalled for.

Yep, I don’t click on and read every post so there's a ton of comment threads I miss out on, and I just assumed that was some joke taken from one that I missed. Apparently I was wrong and the tag was a result of a rather tasteless joke.
